I was never one of those kids that had an answer whenever someone would ask “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I mean, I would answer, but I was never serious. Not that kids are serious about their future careers, but I have met a lot of people who claim to have wanted to be a nurse or an actor or a firefighter etc. since they were five years old. They just knew. Well, not me. Even now, as a full-fledged adult (at least technically), I still have no idea. I want a job that’s fulfilling and that I actually want to go to everyday. Time is very precious to me and I don’t want to waste it doing something I hate even if I’m getting paid. But the problem is, I can’t figure out where to start. Sure, I have hobbies and things I like doing, but so far no one wants to pay me to do those things. Something where I’m allowed to be creative and have fun as a member of a team would be great, but that’s a little too broad as a set of requirements. So this year, I’m going to try to narrow it down. Figuring this stuff out is another goal of mine for 2014.
If you need me, I’ll be taking every single career assessment test there is. (Just kidding. I’ve already done them all).
